Bucking and barking

Peekaboo "bucks" when we come home and when she's playing. I thinks it's adorable, but I think everything is adorable!
Please excuse my barking in the video - she and I have these exchanges pretty often. It gets her all riled up and she usually starts beating up on Rascal. He loves it though - he just flips on his back and wiggles. He's the sweetest dog, just content and polite.

Fetch is life.

Sing Song & catching up

The Women of Alpha kai Omega, my college social club, did fantastic at Sing Song. What, you don't know what Sing Song is? Well, then you obviously did not go to a university affiliated with the Church of Christ. Sing Sing is the biggest annual production at the school, and other than that it's pretty much indescribable!
Each class (freshman, sophomore, etc.) and all the social clubs put together a performance. In between each club or class, the hosts and hostesses have Broadway-ish musical numbers.

Here's "my" girls' show:

They won second place overall.
Emily brought along her boyfriend, a non-ACU person, who pretty much hated the experience. Alan wasn't just thrilled to go watch me perform while we were in college either. Guess you gotta participate to appreciate Sing Song!

See ya Monday!

These little boogers will keep Alan company all weekend while I'm in Abilene & Dallas.
See ya Monday!

They call it puppy love

Ahh, young love.

It's nothing but batting eyelashes and shy looks.

Sharing a milkshake with two straws.

Passing love notes.

Well, Rascal and Peekaboo may not be in puppy love - but Rascal, at least, is in a puppy headlock!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Alan has a final over the endocrine system and reproduction on Friday, so he's unavailable for any kind of romantic outing. Learning about all the nasty STD's doesn't put anyone in the mood for a candlelight dinner! ; )
Actually, he's just way busy studying, so we'll have our Valentine's Day next week. This weekend I'm going to Abilene with friends to attend Sing Song at our alma mater, Abilene Christian University.
Sing Song is impossible to explain, so I'll put up a video when I get back. For now, just root for the Kai-O's to win!

Family ties

Peekaboo was the last to leave her litter of three. She has two brothers, and the breeder said they beat up on her, as any good brother should!
Yesterday, one of the brothers found our site and said hi!

Meet Linus, Peekaboo's bio brother.

He lives with a big sister, Hayley, a bulldog who look a lot like Alan's brother's bulldog, Daisy.

Looking at Linus' dogster page, I saw he lives close to us, so maybe we can meet for a family reunion sometime!

What a cutie!

I'm so weak

Yes, I bought her a dress despite all the ribbing I'll get from friends and Alan's complete abhorrence of the whole idea. I actually bought her two - the other is a pink sequined sundress and they were each $3 at Target. I am powerless against a clearance.

We had people over and Alan smoked ribs for the Super Bowl. We saved a few bones for the babies, but Peekaboo was so tired from playing with everybody that she didn't even notice when I put hers down in front of her face!

She was sleeping on my legs before she got in her bed.

She and Rascal play like crazy, so when they finally do sleep, it's serious business.

And flashing camera lights are not appreciated. That's what you get for being cute P boo!

Can you find the Peekaboo in this picture?

Rascal is our first dog to LOVE Nylabone chews. He has to have one every night before he goes to sleep and he takes chew breaks throughout the day. It's so cute to see him go find a bone and hop into bed with it.

Alan is home a large part of the day studying (or avoiding studying) so the babies and he have a good routine down. Alan works on the computer, they nap beside him.

Cuddled, of course.

At play

Kritter's favorite game is tennis ball fetch. He drops the ball at my feet several times a day.

He is serious about that ball!

If you don't throw the ball "right" he just stares at you

and waits for you to get it right.

While Kritter and I are playing ball, the puppies entertain themselves.

Did I mention I've found six Peekaboo teeth? She brings them to me or I find them in bed. I've got two canines and four molar-type teeth, and she's gotten six treats under her pillow - and so have Kritter and Rascal, cause you can't leave anybody out!

Park debacle

I was so excited to go to the Frenchie meetup Saturday. Our plan was to hit the Frenchies at a park on the west side of Houston and then drop by the pugs on the way home.

We failed - miserably!
The Internet directions said it should take an hour from the island to the park in west Houston, so we left about 9 a.m. for a 10 a.m. meetup. At 10:50 were were still a dozen or so blocks from the meetup - if we were going the right way - so we gave up.

It was 11:30 or so by the time we got back to the park where the pugs were meeting, so we didn't even stop there. Turns out our blogging buddies Porky and Brownie were actually still there. Bah!

I always take tons of pictures at the meetups, so I had to make up for the lack of meetup pictures with car pictures/stopping at Chick-fil-A for lunch pictures. Of course, they're still cute, but they'd be cuter with lots of Frenchie & pug friends!!!

Pouting because she didn't get to show off her posh collar. Thanks Emily!

Kritter was probably just as happy with the car ride as he would have been with the meetup.

My giant ears are tré cute, no?

Sunbathing beauty

Keeping an eye on the passersby

Kritter to basecamp, we spot Dad bringing out the food, over.
