Christmas cheer - in 80 degrees

We went to a huge tree farm this weekend to get our tree. It was the first time we'd actually cut our own, 'cause there's just not a lot (any) pine or fur tree farms where we are from. It was so warm I had to take off my jacket - and I was hot in jeans and a sleeveless shirt!

Kritter helped Alan cut.

The place had lots of animals to pet - including a cute little baby goat!

And a big pig.

Kritter didn't care much about any of the animals, but he did enjoy the ride without the Frenchies. Sometimes the mature pug needs time away from the "kids."

Christmas in (and on the outside of ) our house is blue, white and silver. I may be the only one in the world who thinks red and green look yucky together.

I've noticed since getting pregnant I'm a lot more cautious about what Alan does in addition to what I do. Before it was "I'm going to be very sad if you fall and crack your head open." Now it's "I'll kill you if you fall and crack your head open and leave me alone to raise a little female version of you."

Other than that, we've just been hanging around:

In pregnancy news, I'm 21 weeks and I'm feeling good! I am a little freaked though, because I don't like ANY baby name I see, and I haven't found any crib linens that do it for me either. I'm taking a break from looking, because it's really starting to stress me out! (Is that a part of nesting?)

How fun that you got to pick and cut your own tree! Are you going to turn the A.C. down to 60 on Christmas day to make it feel more... Christmas-ey? :)

Kritter got to help pick out the tree! How sweet. That pig looks uncomfortably fat. I have seen people that look like that at the Golden Corral. Coincidence? Probably not. Good luck with the baby name. You should solicit bloggers for ideas, then stick them all in a hat and pull one out. Just kidding :P

You look awesome! :) Yep, welcome to nesting. My big crazy nesting thing is cleaning. Like when I got down on all fours yesterday and cleaned the heck out of the toilet area. Craziness.

Hey Kara! I came across your blog while 'blog-hopping'...I was like, "Hey, I went to ACU with her!" ANYWAY, we didn't name our kids until we actually met them in person. We had names we liked, but chose a final name when we saw what fit them. About bedding...you can have custom bedding made for about the same price as those bed-in-a-bags from Babies-R-Us.

I liked this website for fabric ideas http://www.distinctivenurseries.com/Bubble-Gum-By-Banana-Fish--4-Piece-Crib-Set-_p_557-1039.html#

Wow, I just can't imagine Christmas in 80 degrees! That's hot! Over here it's snowing!

That's a nice tree, by the way. :)

Woman told me I could share some baby name ideas with you. Here are some of her favorites. She's not having children, but if she did, she would use these names. But she's not.

Alyna (uh-lean-uh), Brie (like the cheese), Isabella (or just Bella for short), Madeleine.

Maybe you like one of those!

I always thought that blue lights were for Hanukkah, but I was never sure.

p.s. You are FINALLY lookng pregnant! At least now we know for sure that you just aren't trying to hide your bulimia.
