Alan's fish and my wish list

Alan's birthday is on Thanksgiving this year, so it's about time to decide what to get him. Probably fish stuff. I don't think I've posted any about his tanks. Let me catch you up.
Alan has had a fish tank hobby forever. I let it go wild the first year we were married because our house had an unfinished built in garage where he could set up all the tanks he wanted and make a mess. When we moved he downsized a little - to four tanks.

There's two in the living room. One is 75 gallons and has angelfish and a couple schools of smaller fish, and the other is 30 gallons and has red cherry shrimp. Both have all kinds of plants - I think Alan actually likes the plants more than the fish.

In our office we have a ten gallon with shell dwelling fish, and these I get excited about because they are little decorators! You put sand and seashells in the tank and each fish picks him own shell as a home. Then they move the sand and small snails around just the way they want them. It's so cute! I sit and watch them scooping up mouthfulls of sand and spitting it out in a different spot. They also have lots of babies, and the older "kids" help raise the new babies.

Our bedroom tank is a little bit of a sore spot right now. We spent the week working on a project to line the back of the tank with black lava rock for this cool "aquascape" we had planned. We finally finished, filled it up with water, got all the chemicals and temperature right and put the fish in. It was so pretty! But when we woke up the next morning our fish were dead! The 100% silicone we used to glue the rocks wasn't 100% silicone - it had an anti-fungal additive. Ggggrrrr. So, we're not sure what we're going to do about that.
So, that was a long story just to say I need to figure out what kind of fish stuff to get Alan for his birthday/Christmas.
He's easy to buy for - just get him fish stuff.
I'm horrible to buy for - and I hate it!
I can't ever decide what I want, and if I do know what I want I don't want to say because I don't want to "ask" for a present. It drives Alan crazy, and it annoys me that I'm like that. His family is so good at presents. They pay attention to each other, find out what everyone wants, and then get it - or get something even better. My family just isn't like that.
When I do decide what I want, it tends to be expensive. I'm no spoiled brat, quite the opposite, but, well, I'm a girl and I guess that about says it.
For example, here' the things currently on my "want" list"
1. Digital SLR camera - about $900.
2. Camcorder - about $1,000
3. Dyson DC 17 for animal hair - about $550
4. A little girl Frenchie - about $2,500
5. A 3-carat Tiffany platinum "Lucida" ring with an "Etoile" band
- about $15,000

6. A midnight blue Dodge Viper with white racing stripes - about $100,000

I see absolutly nothing wrong with your list at all....that ring is TOTALLY GORGEOUS, i'd love to have that, and the car? well heck that goes with the ring and the little frenchie dog.
Good luck, i'm bad for "asking" for something as well, i put out a list reluctantly, but rarely receive whats on it...hmmm...and its not pricey stuff...no one pays attention...and this is long now, so bu bye :)

Hello!!! I love those rings, too. A Frenchie girl would be lovely!! Do you think Rascal might knock over one of those tanks?
