Amanda's story about MeiMei under the bed reminded me of Kritter's "teenage" phase. From the time he was about four months to a year old his favorite game was "catch me if you can."He had to stay in the bathroom when I left the house, and he hated it with a passion.
Any movement I made indicating I was about to leave the house sent him into evasion mode.
Kritter had two secret weapons to avoid the bathroom for as long as possible: Under the bed and out the doggie door.
My bed was in a corner, so when he scooted his curly tail into that corner there was no way of getting him out. He'd get all the way under, turn to face you and just smile. He knew he was making me late for class, and he enjoyed it.
If he was in a particularly hyper mood, he'd run out the doggie door into the backyard where he could literally run us in circles. That low pug center of gravity and puppy energy combined into a uncatchable whirlwind of fur.
Our duplex was perfectly arranged for his antics. It was a long rectangle ending in my room with the back door and doggie door. If you didn't follow him to the backyard, he'd wait a minute or so, then stick his head in to see if the coast was clear. Then he'd tiptoe down the hall.
Thus began a standoff between Kritter and my roommate and I, he crouched in ready position on one end of the hall and we on our hands and knees trying to convince him we only wanted him to come to us so we could play. He never fell for that.
Mr. Kritter. He's always been my obstinate little man!

I used to do the same thing to the People when they tried to lock me up! I would run around the kitchen table, sending them in circles. It was so much fun. Lucky for them, I have outgrown that.
I do remember those days of them running from us and hiding. I'm too old for it now and so are they. But I love to see other bloggers who are still chasing theirs!

I remember helping to corral Kritter a few times!!! Good Times!!! =)
Awww, Kritter was SUCH a cute puppy! I remember when you first brought him home. He was so tiny!
That looks nothing like Kritter now. You left out the part about jail.
Too funny!! We would have to go through that to put Meimei's harness on for walkies. You'd think that she would come running cause she would want to walk so badly but it was part of the game to run around the living room dodging mama! Love all the pics!
Little Mr. Innocent under the bed! They are something aren't they????? Any Mo updates????
