Rascal's first day home

Ok, after agonizing all Friday night, we went back to Linda's Saturday morning and made our choice: Rascal.
Yay - time to go home!
I said LET'S GO HOME!!!
Rascal was just perfect in the car - slept the whole way.
So it looks as though we have another dog who loves car trips...
...just as much as Kritter does!
Rascal had no problem finding the toy boxes.
And he quickly mastered the stairs.
Although his preferred method of getting from the deck to the backyard is launching himself from this corner into the soft plants below. I'm glad I haven't thinned them out lately!
The food was his next find. Kritter likes Rascals's puppy food, and Rascal likes Kritter's adult food - feeding them each what they need is going to be a challenge!
Linda sent us home with all kinds of goodies (other than the puppy). She's an artist, and her stuff features - what else - Frenchies! She gave us greeting cards, coasters, magnets, pens and a notepad that says "The Bull Sheet" with a Frenchie butt on top. After he sniffed out the house, it was time for some play!
Kritter feels the need to verify Rascal's identity every now and then.
All that wrestling left them pooped! Rascal slept all night in his crate beside my side of the bed - without peeing, pooping or making a peep! So, of course, he was ready to play when we woke up. Alan and Kritter were a little less enthusiastic.
From different angles he looks more fawn and more black. He's fawn though, because you can tell a big difference between him and the littler black fawn girl I so wanted to take home too.
Today, for one of the first times in his life, Kritter played outside. Usually when you try to play with him outside he gives you the "are you stupid" look.
Rascal does a play bark with his butt up in the air - the play posture - and then comes at you with lots of tongue!
This is Rascal's Daddy, Louie.
And this is his momma, Pixie.

Now we're pooped again!

Rascal is so precious (maybe handsome is a better word to use for a male)!
